Favorite picture from this weekend by Bill Mattocks.
This top used to be a skirt when I was 8 years old. My mother is the most amazing seamstress.
We had the most wonderful time at Mayfaire this past weekend. I didn’t have to interact with J at all, we had fabulous tips and the shop did amazing.
What a wonderful way to kick off our 14th year of belly dancing!!
Starting this weekend, we’re belly dancing every weekend until July.
I’m so excited for the Renaissance Faire whirlwind to start! :)

Watching Shakira dance like this makes my lower back hurt.
It’s so sad that girls think that’s the correct position to belly dance in…it’s not and it will hurt you if you keep doing it!!
Off the soapbox now…

In honor of their performance at Coachella, Beats Antique is offering 3 of their albums for free!! Mine are downloading right now :)
This beautiful yarn that looks like an ocean will be transformed into a lacy shawl to be worn for dance…I’m excited :)
a couple sneak peeks from our photo shoot this past Saturday :)
I keep scouting the crochet tag to find some sort of inspiration, but I can’t seem to find anything that I would actually need after it was finished…
I just completed a rather large project, 5 hip belts for our belly dance troupe’s pictures yesterday (I’ll post a pic later this week) and now I’m kind of at a loss as for what to do next…
I’ve wanted to start an afghan, but I know for a fact that it would take me way too long and I would definitely lose patience. I did with the tank I was making. (The fact that I bought the wrong yarn weight helped with that a little I think…)
I just got a book that has almost every stitch you could imagine in it, and I guess I could start practicing and learning those, but I see that as pointless, just because I’d rather spend my time on a finished project than practicing to eventually use the skill to finish a project.
Ugh…such are the ramblings going on in my mind…maybe I’ll make some flowers to sell?

I danced with someone whose snake would do this.
We took troupe pictures one afternoon, and the snake fell asleep wrapped around her hips and fell off.
He was fine, except for his pride, I’m sure ;)
